The 94th Aero Squadron is located between the runways of the Port Columbus Airport and offers a dramatic view of the arriving and departing air traffic. The old country 1917 French Farmhouse is full of military memorabilia and aviation relics depicting the times of the WWI and WWII era. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and romantic with huge stone fireplaces, wood paneling, and beamed ceilings.
The aviation themed restaurant has been a tradition in central Ohio for over 40 years. Enjoy an award-winning dining experience featuring the best in prime rib, steaks, fresh seafood, pasta and chicken specialties.
The 94th Aero Squadron was the most famous unit of early American air power. Its unit featured the Columbus native Eddie Rickenbacker who flew combat over the skies of France during the "Great War." Eddie was an inspiration to the WWII aviators who flew such famed aircraft as the P-47 Thunderbolt and the P-51 Mustang. It is to these brave and courageous heroes we dedicate our restaurant
ABOUT THE RESTAURANT
ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with a great deal of emotion that we announce that the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant will be permanently closing on Sunday, June 18th at 4 pm. Our lease is ending at that time and we have decided to explore other opportunities.
Going forward our new hours will be Wednesday & Thursday 4 pm – 9 pm, Friday & Saturday 4 pm – 10 pm and Sunday Brunch 11 am – 4 pm with our last seating one hour before closing. YES, we will continue our Friday Night Dance Parties through Friday, June 16th 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
We plan to “go out with a bang” having some fun events, monthly specials and a blow out party for former staff and regulars the weekend we close. We will kick this off when we reopen after our repairs from the pipes bursting, Friday, January 27th with dinner service and our belated NYE Friday Night Dance Party. It is our hope that you will continue to patronize the 94th over the next 5 months.
Please know this decision came with a great deal of thought (and tears). We have loved our time at the 94th Aero Squadron and so appreciate each and every customer and staff member that we have had the privilege of knowing over the past 30 years. Continue to watch the website www.the94thaerocolumbus.com and our Facebook page The 94th Aero Columbus for updates on events and specials.
